Secrets to Shopping With Family Savers
- It is very important to notify your customer service representative (CSR), that this is your FIRST TIME calling so the CSR can guide you through how to receive a price quote!
- Remember, the proper way to use FAMILY $AVERS is to shop just like you normally do: look through your portfolio at the lists of brands and products, shop around, make a list of preferences, then call.
- Some companies release their products to the consumer market periodically. If a brand or product you want is not available, the CSR may suggest calling back later.
- Newspaper ad prices never include tax or (if any) delivery costs. Consider this when comparing to FAMILY $AVERS pricing. In many cases, the products advertised are discontinued or are "loss leader" items. This means the store may only have a few of these items, but the ad still runs all week to "lure" you into the store so you might buy something else.
- Some stores that provide mail order service may not intially tell you there are added costs ( like delivery or tax), so be sure to ask. Their products may not include manufacturer warranties! The store may say the product "has a warranty", but it is not by the factory. This usually means the product is a trade-in (used) or factory refurbished (fixed after a problem). To get a "factory" warranty there is usually a substanial extra charge (if it's even available) added. Make sure to specifically ask about this.
- With FAMILY $AVERS every product has a manufacturer warrranty. All products purchased through FAMILY $AVERS are factory firsts. Delivery is included (with few exceptions, but remember the total cost you end up paying in these rare cases is what is guaranteed to be the lowest price!) except in rare cases with few furniture companies.
- If FAMILY $AVERS price quote on a product is not satisfactory, or seems incorrect, let us know! Perhaps the CSR didn't hear you properly and gave you a price on the wrong product.
- If you are pricing an item from a catalog (i.e.: Sears, J.C. Penny, Service Merchandise, weekly flyers, etc.), please have available the date the circular was issued, page number and item number.
